The show version for digital meetings: virtual wonders

As an alternative to a face-to-face event, I motivate your virtual conference participants in a playful way with special effects on the topic of digitalization. In my online version, video tricks merge with dexterity – all live and interactive. As a digital magician, I use my iPad to make seemingly lost objects appear, meet my animated, digital self and let a robot demonstrate its artificial intelligence. The message is that the challenges of digitalization can only be mastered through curiosity and the fun of being creative.

Info: The online show lasts up to 20 minutes and can be split into two or three parts. There are no special technical requirements, you receive the ready-mixed live image directly from your own studio. Most common video conferencing platforms are suitable for this.

Why not present a show on the topic of digitalization in a purely digital way?

First Principle Thinking provides the solution. The idea: you can’t transfer a show designed for a live situation 1:1 to the digital medium and expect the quality to remain the same. There would be a lack of interaction with the audience and magical special effects could look like video tricks in a pre-produced YouTube video. I designed my own virtual program for digital events and online meetings from scratch, deliberately blending camera tricks with sleight of hand. In 2010, I made the first effects with the iPad possible by combining digital and real. In 2020, new illusions were created from the combination of virtual and live. With appropriate messages on the topic of digitalization, the participants are entertained just as well as live, only differently.

The virtual show is an original idea if you are planning a digital event. The participants of the video conference will experience the magical meeting like a movie, only live. Visual scenes in my virtual office will motivate your conference participants on the screens. The focus is on how amazement, triggered by magic, can create innovations in the digital future. Amazement, as an inner state of restlessness, creates incompleteness in the brain and automatically triggers curiosity. Something new can then emerge through play. In my virtual show, I provide motivation with creative ideas based on magic, which are generated live using a mixture of sleight of hand and video tricks and also incorporate current digital technologies. As machines can only be intelligent to a certain extent in the foreseeable future, innovation remains a matter for humans. The message of the digital conference is to cultivate wonder, curiosity and play in the business world, because creativity is one of the most important future characteristics that machines will not be able to take away from us any time soon.
