New act: Deepfake
I am always looking for ways to integrate digital innovations into my show as a creative tool to reach people emotionally. One of the most fascinating developments for me in recent years is deepfake technology. It makes it possible to create realistic-looking video sequences from just a few images that look amazingly real. And this is exactly what I now use in my shows, with the aim of surprising people, making them laugh and making them think.
One photo is all it takes for your manager to become the virtual protagonist
All I need for my deepfake number is a photo, for example of a manager from your company or a well-known person from your team. You can simply send me this picture in advance by e-mail. With the help of artificial intelligence, it then becomes an animated, talking “alter ego” that appears live on the screen in my show. The results are always amazing.
Whether as a tongue-in-cheek introduction to a presentation, a humorous way to liven up a conference or a magical moment at a corporate event, my deepfake production works. And that’s because it puts familiar faces in a completely new context. Suddenly your own CEO says sentences that you would never expect him to say. The moment when the audience realizes what is happening is priceless. First laughter, then amazement, often followed by a moment of pause. Because behind the entertainment value of deepfake technology, there is of course also great social relevance. In my show, I talk openly about both: the creative side of technology and the ethical questions it raises. I don’t just want to amaze, I also want to raise awareness.
That’s exactly why I take the time to explain how a deepfake is created. I show live on stage how a simple photo is transformed into a complex illusion and what role AI, facial expression simulation and video editing play in the process. This gives my audience an insight into a technology that has long since moved beyond Hollywood or social media and is already finding its way into our everyday lives.
Why I bring deepfakes to the stage
As an iPad magician, I have been working with digital special effects for years. For me, it is only logical that I not only observe new developments such as Deepfake, but actively integrate them into my work. I see this as a great opportunity to make events more emotional, entertaining and up-to-date. At the same time, I also want to take responsibility. Deepfakes can deceive and manipulate, that is undisputed. But they can also inspire, excite and enable a new kind of storytelling. When I bring a manager to life virtually, for example, I do so in close consultation with the company, always with appreciation, a sense of humor and a clear framework. It’s about using the possibilities of this technology creatively without abusing them.
Deepfake as a customized experience for your event
The preparation is very simple. You send me a photo of the desired person in advance and I will do the rest. The deepfakes created are professionally edited and embedded in my show, perfectly tailored to your event. The result is an act that your guests won’t soon forget. Personal, surprising and highly topical. After all, who would expect to suddenly see their own team member or managing director as an animated figure on the iPad, talking, moving, completely convincing?
For me, Deepfake is not a trick for the sake of it. It is a new tool for storytelling, interaction and reflection. Used in the right doses, it creates great amazement and plenty to talk about. It makes people laugh and at the same time opens their eyes to topics such as digital identity, manipulation and trust. If you would like to experience Deepfake as part of your next event, please contact me. I promise your guests will be talking about it for a long time to come.
